Tibet Today brings Tibet closer to you

Chinese leaders are stupid for not shaking hands with the Dalai Lama to negotiate to find a mutually acceptable solution on Tibet.
Day seven: 16th March, 2008: After sigining Tibetan national anthem and the Tibetan national uprising song, the marchers shouted Bhod Gya
lo thrice in unison to recommence the Peace March.
Peace Marchers left Bogmby Picnic spot around six o clock in the morning and headed towards Una district, some 30 Kms away.
It was a sunny day and the heat was unbearable and as result most of the marchers were suffering from fatigue and their muscles got cramped. After covering some 20 Kms, the marchers finally retired at a lawn beside the main highway towards Chandigarh.
According to the organisers, the marchers are expected to cross the Himachal Pradresh border the next day.
Late in the evening the members of the German Tibet Support Groups led by Wolfgang Grader, the president, and Boris Eichler, the PR of the association, paid a surprise visit to the Peace Marchers camp. On behalf of the Tibet Support Group Germany, Wolfgang Grader conveyed the message of the TSG, German: "Now is the time for the Tibetans and the Tibet supporters to push forward the non-violent freedom movement as the world has been scrutinizing the human rights records of China prior to the Beijing Olympics. We, as the German Tibet Supporters and most of the Europian nations, have always been supporting Tibetan people for their non-violent freedom struggle and always concerned about the situation in Tibet," says Wolfang Garder
"Recently we have organised the Tibetan freedom movement campaigns in several towns and cities in Germany and even hoisted the Tibetan national flag in 920 town halls throughout Germany to support Tibetan people. It is necessary for the Tibetans to keep this march going despite the Indian government's restrictions. I think the Indian government is not absolutely against this peace march, so I think Tibetans need to maintain the momentum going," says Wolfang Garder
