Freedom's Door

Not with ears do I hear and feel fair song as truth and love are the melody of the heart
tears flow freely when the darkness of the soul is strong
yet I smile as I wonder what wisdom this world will impart

As dusk draws near, I await you, my love
come to me in the calmness of the awakened moon
listen to the night’s sweet song we’ve dreamed of
freedom’s door shall open, the day will come soon

I yearn for you under the moonlight’s glow,
glittering stars sparkle like dew drops on leaves
love’s ray touch the depth of my soul
dreams of heart are realized if one truly believes

The seasons rotate with shorter days upon us
come bask with me in the soul of the sun
In the light of the day we will be blessed
freedom’s door shall open, a new day will come.
