AN APPEAL FOR SUPPORT
MONETARY HELP NEEDED
TIBETODAY is a monthly English magazine which was founded by Tharchin Y Gonpo along with team of dedicated Tibetan Youths in December 2006. We started off this magazine with the initial investment of two hundred thousand Indian rupees,
Rs.2,00,000.
With this meagre fund, we have been running Tibetoday from one roomed residence cum office. We neither have a full fledged office nor have full time reporters and sub-editors working for the magazine. But we have been successful in publishing Tibetoday for one whole year. The credit goes to all team members who have devoted all their spare time for the magazine.
Within the period of one year TIBETODAY magazine has already become one of the most sought after magazine in Tibetan community in exile. However, the inadequacy of fund has been the major obstacle for our efficiency and leap towards professionalism.
It has been our long cherished dream to set up a full fledged office at Dharamsala with at lest three full time reporters and sub-editors working for the magazine. Yet, we are handicapped with no fund to execute our vision.
Therefore, I appeal to generous individuals and organisations to kindly support us through donations and grants to continue TIBETODAY magazine. We would be greatly touched and pleased if you generously provide us the monetary support we desperately needed at the moment.
