Tibetan military delegation meets Nepali officials

Kathmandu, Dec 7 (PTI)- A Tibetan military delegation met Nepalese officials here and discussed issues ranging form border security to bilateral cooperation.

The delegation led by Lt Gen Shu Yutai, held separate meetings with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sujata Koirala, Defence Minister Vidya Bhandari on issues relating to border security, Tibetan activities and mutual cooperation, according to Foreign Ministry sources.

The delegation is currently in Kathmandu on an official visit ahead of planned pro-Tibetan demonstrations in the capital on December 10 to mark the first anniversary of Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Tibetan spiritual guru the Dalai Lama.

Nepalese authorities have intensified security at Chinese Embassy, Chinese Visa Section and other Chinese installations in the capital in view of the possible protests.
