Explaining the theme of the tour, Yadav said that Indians should wake up and understand the dangers of the Chinese military poses to the security of India and Tibetans should wake up to understand their struggle for a free Tibet.

He said that only an independent Tibet will guarantee a secure India.

The campaign, Yadav says, is to educate the Indian masses at the grass roots.

“It is important that Indian masses know and understand the situation of Tibet and the Tibetan struggle, and why it is related to the security of India.”

He said that people are shocked to know the presence of Chinese military not far away from their homes and the danger it poses to the security of India.

“Not many Indians know about the Tibetan issue and the presence of Chinese military at the border not so far away.”

The three-member team from Bhopal in central India started the tour in mid December covering cities, towns and villages in the Indian states of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. They will be covering Rajastan, Gujarat and Maharashtra in the next one month, and plans to cover south India at a later time.
