His Holiness the Dalai Lama leaves for Australia and New Zealand Visits

Dharamshala: His Holiness the Dalai Lama left Dharamsala on Saturday for a ten-day visit to Australia and New Zealand from 1-10 December.

His Holiness will give two days of teachings on Nagarjuna's Commentary on Bodhicitta in Sydney, Australia on December 1 and 2 to be organised by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Australia Committee.

On 3 December, His Holiness will speak on 'Our Future: Who Is Responsible?' during his public talk in Sydney.

His Holiness will then travel to New Zealand where he will give public talk and religious discourse on 'A Peaceful Mind' and Nagarjuna's Commentary on Bodhicitta in Auckland on 5 and 6 December respectively. The event will be organised by the Dalai Lama Visit Trust New Zealand.
 
His Holiness will return to Australia to continue his lecture series.

His Holiness will give a public talk on Compassion in Diversity organised by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Australia Committee in Hobart on 8 December.

On December 9, His Holiness will address the closing plenary of the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Melbourne. His Holiness will join representatives from diverse religious traditions to discuss overriding issues such as conflict resolution, earth charter as a global ethics, food and water-justice for all, religion, HIV/AIDS and healthcare, caring practices for the earth and inter-faith action for peace in Africa.

First held in Chicago in 1893, the Parliament of the World’s Religions brings together the world’s religious and spiritual communities, their leaders and their followers to a gathering where peace, diversity and sustainability are discussed and explored in the context of interreligious understanding and cooperation.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will conclude his visit with a public talk on 'World Peace: Who Is Responsible?' in Melbourne, Australia on 10 December.
