Dalai Lama leaves for Jispa, Manali

Dharamsala, August 16 – His Holiness the Dalai Lama left for Jispa in his home state of Himachal Pradesh this morning. The Tibetan leader’s private office here said on its website yesterday that the visit to Jispa will now take place before his visit to Manali.

His Holiness will deliver the initiation of Heruka (dechok) on 19 August in Jispa where he will also give a teaching the following day.

The Tibetan leader will deliver a discourse on Gyalsey Thokme Sangpo's 37 Practices of A Boddhisattva (Gyalsey laklen sodunma) in Manali on 22 Auggust.

The office also apologized for the inconvenience caused saying bad road conditions and weather have been causing difficulties in regard to the travel logistics.
