Dharamsala, Feb 16 : Samdhong Rinpoche, Tibetan Prime Minister-in-exile, has said Thursday's meeting between Dalai Lama and U.S President Barack Obama would give a strong message to China that they cannot dictate terms to any country.

Talking to a foreign new agency here on Monday, Rinpoche said the meeting would surely give a boost to Tibetan sentiments.

"It is encouraging, particularly for the Tibetans living inside Tibet; they would be very much encouraged. And also it is a good message to PRC (People's Republic of China) leadership that they cannot dictate everyone by their kind of arrogance and bullism. So I think it's good message to them," he added.

"Every country is sovereign and independent. So to whom they meet, to who they (do) not meet, it is not to be dictated by PRC. So therefore we never take any note of this. This is their own silly business and let them do and who takes care," he said.

Obama's meeting with the Dalai Lama is likely to set off a new round of sniping from Beijing.
