New Delhi, Feb. 15 – His Holiness the Dalai Lama on Friday became a part of the Delhi University which awarded the Tibetan leader the title of ‘adjunct honorary professor’.

Thousands of students stood in queue to listen to the 73-year-old Tibetan leader who took part in a panel discussion at the Delhi University’s Convention Hall. The topic for discussion was “Can Compassion be Cultivated”.

The talk was arranged for an exclusive audience but many without invitation squeezed in to get a glimpse of the 1989 Nobel peace laureate.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Deepak Patel, thanked His Holiness for accepting his invitation to speak to the university.

His Holiness was in Italy and Germany to receive two honorary citizenships and a Media Prize.
